Prior to 2021, our signature wallet cases were crafted with leather wrapping neatly around the top of the iPhone’s camera. At the time, this design provided seamless protection. But as Apple advanced its technology, introducing larger and more powerful cameras, that original design became less practical.
We listened to our customers, who raised concerns about camera protection, and we adapted. By building up the protective inner shell and removing the leather strip at the top for the more the more recent iPhone models (with larger cameras), we improved durability to ensure a cleaner, longer lasting design; without the risk of peeling or wear.

When the iPhone 17 was unveiled, its bold new camera system created a fresh design challenge. We knew that simply reverting to leather wrapped around the entire camera edge wasn’t the solution; while it may have looked traditional, we knew it would inevitably wear down over time. That’s not the Snakehive way.
